Moles are rather strange-looking creatures that are seldom seen above ground, preferring to remain in their natural habitat of self-dug tunnels within the earth. With little light to be found in these tunnels, moles have very poor eyesight and rely instead on their snout and whiskers to navigate their way round, using their large front paws to burrow as they go.

The first issue that puts moles firmly in the ‘pest’ category is their molehills, which leave unsightly blemishes in our gardens or grounds and can even be a trip hazard if you’re caught unawares. However, there is much more than just your landscaping at stake when an infestation of moles takes hold; if enough tunnels are dug close to the foundations of your property, you can end up with serious safety and structural issues that will be costly to rectify and potentially dangerous if left unchecked.
